Cover Supervisor

The Role

We are recruiting a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to support a large 11–19 secondary school in Northumberland. This role involves delivering pre-set lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of teaching staff.

You will ensure pupils remain on task, manage behaviour effectively, and maintain a calm and productive learning environment.

£100 – £130 per day | PAYE | Depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across KS3–KS5

• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policy

• Ensure pupils complete work to a high standard

• Provide feedback to teaching staff

• Support the wider school community when required

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience working with young people (education, coaching, youth work, tutoring)

• Confident managing groups of secondary-aged pupils

• Strong communication skills

• Calm, authoritative and professional approach

• Degree-level education desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
