Job description
The governing body of this Ofsted rated 'Good' school in south Leicestershire are seeking an experienced and well-qualified teacher of Computer Science to join their team in August 2017. This is a full-time, permanent contract and applicants must hold a UK recognised teaching qualification in order to be considered.

The school itself is based in south Leicestershire with excellent public transport links already in place. NOR for the current academic year is approx 1200, and the school is consistently oversubscribed. You would be working in a department of 4 teachers and 2 LSA's, and would also be required to teach 4 lessons of IT per week (KS3 only). Computer Science is a very popular subject in key stages 4 and 5, and the department has achieved excellent results for the past 2 years with predicted grades looking to be a slight improvement on last year.

The ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable teacher of Computer Science with a strong track record of teaching to key stages 4 and 5. Whilst behaviour is not an issue within the school, sound behaviour management skills are a must in order to be successful in this role, and you must be able to demonstrate at the very least a consistent track record of raising attainment. Ultimately, they are looking for someone who is passionate about their subject and is dedicated to the continued success of their students.
