This role is within a special needs school for children aged 2-11 years. This particular school specialises in educating pupils with severe and profound learning disabilities, many of the pupils have additional physical disabilities, communication difficulties and complex special needs.

The school upholds high standards and continually works towards improving their pupils' performances by maintaining an environment that is nurturing, empowering and supportive while at the same time setting challenges. As a primary teaching assistant you will assist students on a one to one basis, supporting in creative ways that include art, song and movement and ensuring pupils reach their full potential in their academic, social, creative, personal, physical development.

Responsibilities:
Providing an engaging and fun learning environment
Managing pupils physical needs.
Ensuring students engage with lessons, providing academic or sensory support
Working as part of a team
