Protocol Education are currently working with a special needs school based in Southwark, who need a special needs teacher to join their team. This role is for a class of students with autism and a range of profound and multiple special needs as well as complex needs such as speech delay, visual impairment and obsessive, compulsive disorder.

To be successful in this role you will need to be patient, compassionate and ready for a challenge. You will be expected to work alongside other external support services such as speech and language therapists and social workers.

Successful candidates will need the following skills and qualifications:

•Confident in differentiating work in accordance to the students' needs
•Excellent communication skills, the ability to use initiative and works well under pressure.
•Experience working within KS3 and KS4
•Experience teaching deaf students
•Able to support children with SEMH
•Have recent experience teaching SEN students.
•Have a strong commitment to inclusion with high expectations for all learners.
•Willing to learn and update skills and knowledge
