Job Title: School Cleaner
Location: Harlow
Contract Type: Temporary (6 weeks)
Start Date: Week commencing 2nd March
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am–8:30am and 3:00pm–5:30pm


About the Role

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join a school in Harlow on a temporary basis for 6 weeks, starting week commencing 2nd March.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for pupils and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning classrooms to a high standard

  • Cleaning and maintaining corridors and communal areas

  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately

  • Wiping down surfaces, desks, and high-touch areas

  • Vacuuming, mopping, and general floor care

  • Ensuring cleaning supplies are stored safely

Requirements

  • Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential)

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Reliable, punctual, and professional

  • Understanding of health and safety procedures

  • An enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

Working Hours

This role is split shift:

  • 6:00am – 8:30am

  • 3:00pm – 5:30pm

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
