Job description
Protocol Education are currently recruiting for a teaching assistant for a special needs (SEND) secondary school based in the Reigate area. The school hosts plenty of parking on site as it is situated in a quiet, leafy area.

You will be working with secondary school students ages 11-16. The school has a thriving and vibrant learning environment, that cater for the needs of one hundred secondary school students with learning and associated difficulties.

With your support, you will ensure that each student with Autism and Speech and language needs can access a specialised curriculum to build their skills in independence and communication. In addition, you will work closely with the main teacher to ensure that each student progress to the next level of learning.

The successful candidate will be a passionate, enthusiastic and committed teaching assistant.

The Role
-5 days a week, term time only.
-8:30am - 3:30pm
-Based in the borough or Reigate
-Working 1:1 with pupils who have ASD and challenging behaviour

Requirements
-Minimum 2 years of experience working with autism and challenging behaviour
-Confident with the SEN code of practice
-Experience of supporting pupils of a Primary or Secondary age
