Job description
A Oadby/Wigston School has an ongoing requirement for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant after October half term. This Ofsted good' school cater for c400 KS1 and KS2 pupils and benefits from a bright, modern and engaging learning environment.

As a level 2 Teaching Assistant you will assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction of the class teacher and other advisory staff. You will assist with pupils individual education programmes and monitor their progress. You will provide support to pupils inside and outside the classroom to enable them to participate fully in activities. You will support other professionals from outside agencies engaging in pupil support programmes. It may be required for you to undertake some administrative duties such as maintaining pupil records, creating displays and attending staff meetings.

Ideally you will have primary based experience and a good understanding of the responsibilities of a teaching assistant. You should be engaging and happy to play a role in the broader school community. Experience of phonics and literacy and numeracy programmes is a key advantage.

The school will offer you a role that is likely to continue until Easter 2018 working 32.5 hours a week.
