Primary Teachers KS2 Teacher

We’re working with a warm, ambitious primary school that knows exactly what great teaching looks like and gives you the space to do it well.

This is a Year 6 role with real purpose. You’ll be guiding pupils through their final year of primary school, helping them grow in confidence, independence, and readiness for secondary. It’s a big job, but you won’t be doing it alone.

Expect a team that shares ideas, backs each other, and genuinely cares about getting it right for every child.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll step into a well-structured classroom where expectations are high and support is even higher.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Creating a calm, focused classroom where pupils feel safe, challenged, and ready to learn
  • Taking full ownership of pupil progress and helping every child reach their potential
  • Preparing pupils for SATs without losing the joy of learning along the way
  • Delivering lessons that are clear, engaging, and make the most of every minute
  • Adapting your teaching to suit all learners, including SEND, EAL, and high achievers
  • Using assessment confidently to guide next steps and give meaningful feedback
  • Building strong routines and positive behaviour that keeps learning on track
  • Working closely with colleagues and support staff to make sure no child is left behind
  • Playing an active part in school life, from enrichment to parent partnerships

What this school does well

This is a place where:

  • High expectations and strong relationships go hand in hand
  • Staff are trusted as professionals and supported to grow
  • The curriculum is broad, engaging, and designed to spark curiosity
  • Pupils are encouraged to think deeply, speak confidently, and take pride in their work
  • The wider school experience matters just as much as results

There’s a real sense of community here. Staff stay because they feel valued, supported, and part of something meaningful.

What you’ll get in return

  • High-quality CPD and access to wider professional networks
  • A supportive induction tailored to your experience
  • A collaborative team that shares workload and ideas
  • Wellbeing support, including an Employee Assistance Programme
  • Practical perks like free parking and cycle scheme access
  • A school that respects your time, your skills, and your impact

What we’re looking for

  • A qualified teacher with UK QTS
  • Someone confident teaching in KS2, ideally with Year 6 experience
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of SATs expectations
  • A calm, consistent approach to behaviour and classroom routines
  • A team player who’s open, reflective, and ready to contribute
