Job description
Behaviour Support Assistant - Newham

Teaching Assistants (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent preferred) with excellent behaviour management required for long term positions available in mainstream primary schools based in the London Borough of Newham. Positions are full time, term time only and can run from half a term up to the whole academic year.

The post will require support of children, aged 4-11 years (predominately on a one to one basis) within the class. You will need to be flexible, have enthusiasm, motivation, good communication skills and the ability to work with small groups on specific programmes if required.

Minimum of 6 months experience working with children, in a school setting is required.

Experience in working with children with special needs would be an advantage as would previous training in Behaviour Management including Team Teach.

Newham is a great location bordering Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest and Barking & Dagenahm and conveniently located in East London - 35 minutes from Central London. The schools are interesting and varied, exploring beliefs and focusing on development of each individual.
