Job description
Behaviour & Inclusion Support Workers - Wakefield - September starts

We are currently looking for a Support Worker to work in specialist setting based in Wakefield. This schools provides an education for students who can't go to a mainstream school, because of exclusion, illness or other reasons and would not otherwise receive suitable education. The particular groups you are working with will be KS2, KS3 and KS4 children and young people. They have modern facilities all geared to enhance and enrich the students learning experience.

You will ideally hold a Team Teach certification or be prepared to train for one and have a passion for working with young people aged 8-19. The work can be very rewarding; however it can also be challenging too, so you need to be resilient, clam, composed and have the ability to manage challenging behaviour in the school. Many students have challenging home lives and have complex communication needs, learning difficulties or are autistic and some occasionally present with some challenging behaviours. We offer in-house training for Team Teach with a courses running all year long.

• Two professional references within the last three years
• Someone who is committed to the safeguarding of young people
