Job description
Are you a Science Teacher looking to secure a temporary to permanent position at a School in South Birmingham?

This secondary school located within the triangle of Harborne, Edgbaston and Moseley are looking to appoint a Science Teacher ideally with a Chemistry specialism to join their team initially on a temporary basis for the duration of this year that could then become permanent for the right candidate.

Located within the desirable South Birmingham areas of Harborne, Edgbaston and Moseley this Secondary School are looking to appoint a Science Teacher to a full time position that will see them teaching all sciences to KS3 and their chosen subject of Chemistry to KS4 pupils. The position is offered on a full time, 5 days a week basis and is to replace a Teacher who will be leaving the school at the October half term due to a relocation and as such they are looking for someone to start as soon as possible to affect a smooth transition. Initially the post is offered for the duration of this academic year, though should the candidate impress there will be the option of becoming a permanent member of staff at the end of this academic year!

The School has a good reputation locally and is situated in a comparatively affluent area of Birmingham. The school has lower than average numbers of EAL pupils and those with statements of special needs compared to the LEA average. The school are looking to appoint a teacher who will embrace an ethos of high standards and high expectations and be a full and active part of the whole of school life!

The school benefits from excellent facilities having moved into a state of the art purpose built building in recent years. The school is easily accessible from all areas of Birmingham, North Worcestershire and Solihull as well as Sandwell and Dudley in the Black Country.
