A excellent Mainstream school based in the London borough of Newham is currently seeking a hard-working and determined Behaviour Teaching Assistant. This role is full-time, long-term position until the end of the academic year.

The students you will be supporting can display challenging behaviours with some having duel diagnosis of ASD, ADHD, ODD and mental health conditions. Each child is different and needs nurturing to reach their potential. Team Teach trained is desired for this role.

JOB DESCRIPTION Behaviour Support Worker

·Supporting students 1:1

·Managing challenging and aggressive behaviour

·Implementing de-escalation techniques

·Working with the student to engage in lesson

·Giving lots of positive praise and encouragement

·Be a strong positive role model

·Easy transport links with a short walk to sites

·£60 - £80 per day

Person specification Behaviour Support Worker

·Previous experience in a SEN environment

·Team Teach or similar training is desired

·Energetic & resilient

·PECS & Makaton experience desired

·Calm approach while setting clear boundaries and expectations.
