We are looking for a TA with experience in Challenging Behaviour.

You will be working with primary age children who have been diagnosed that may be diagnosed with autism or co-existing conditions including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety, Tourette's syndrome, epilepsy and or challenging behaviour.

We are looking for candidates with the following skills:

Minimum 1 year experience working with children and young people either in education or youth/support work/prison/secure unit roles.
Team Teach training. Not essential but desirable
Confident to work on your own initiative, as well as contributing to a team
Good understanding of the National Curriculum at a primary school level - this role is working with 6 - 11 year olds
Confidence to manage challenging behaviour and re-engage students who are disaffected and not currently engaged in their education
Be able to participate in any extra-curricular activities required
Be willing to support students off-site where required, to try and re-engage them and encourage positive attendance records.

The ideal Behaviour Mentor will be enthusiastic and show great behaviour management skills. You will be confident and not be fazed by challenging behaviour in the classroom. Resilience is key for succeeding in this role. You will be expected to work between 8:30am-3:30pm. The school is run by a successful team of supporting staff.
