Protocol is currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive Caretaker to work within a school setting in Chesterfield.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with maintenance, site management, or caretaking experience who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and secure environment for staff, pupils, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Opening and securing school premises.
• Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ensuring the site is safe, clean, and well-maintained.
• Conducting regular health and safety checks.
• Managing deliveries and site access when required.
• Liaising with contractors and school staff.
• Assisting with the setup of school events and activities.

Requirements

• Previous caretaking, facilities, maintenance, or site management experience is desirable.
• Basic DIY and maintenance skills.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and self-motivated.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
