We are currently recruiting care support workers who are looking to work in an education setting to work in a special needs school located in Southwark. This school caters to post 16 students with special needs such as autism, physical disabilities, speech and language difficulties and learning difficulties. As a support worker you will be working in a class of 6 - 8 students developing sensory development, numeracy & literacy, teaching life skills, take students out in the community with the aim of developing social awareness and assisting in work related programs. This role is to start immediately and is a full time role. Whilst experience is desirable it isn't a requirement.

The role:
  • Working one to one with students with special needs
  • Working collaboratively with a team of professionals
  • Developing sensory development and social awareness
  • Teaching life skills such as shopping, cooking & gardening
  • Assisting with physical development
  • Supporting students during work placements

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
