Job description
Protocol Education are currently looking for passionate and committed teaching assistants to work within SEN schools. With work available all across Croydon and surrounding areas, you will be able to experience a variety of roles, to find what area of SEN suits you best. If you have previous experience with special needs or within a school then this will be the perfect opportunity for you to find the next step in your career.

Duties include working closely with pupils of SEN in groups or 1:1, maintaining and improving the social, emotional, physical and learning needs for pupils. The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will be able to tailor their approach in regard to communication, engagement, and distraction techniques to optimise learning and maximise comfort. If you have some experience in challenging behaviour, Autism, complex needs or with non-verbal students, please feel free to apply.


The Role
-5 days a week, term time only.
-8:30am to 3:30pm
-Based in Croydon
-Working 1:1 with pupils who have challenging behaviour

Requirements
-Minimum 2 years of experience working with autism and challenging behaviour
-Have excellent communication skills
-Confident with the SEN code of practice
-Experience of supporting pupils of a Primary or Secondary age
