BSL Teaching Assistant (Level 2) – Gateshead | Full-Time | September Start

Protocol Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Level 2 BSL Teaching Assistant to support learners across educational settings in Gateshead from September.

In this full-time role, you will help students with hearing impairments and communication needs access learning, develop confidence, and reach their full potential.

What You'll Need

• Level 2 BSL qualification
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• A positive, patient, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Your Responsibilities

• Provide communication support using BSL
• Encourage participation and engagement in lessons
• Support students' academic and social development
• Work closely with teaching staff and specialist teams
• Travel between sites across Gateshead as required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
