Daily Expectations & Routine

Morning:
You will support your allocated pupil(s) as they arrive:

  • Helping them settle
  • Preparing them for the day’s lessons
  • Reinforcing communication and understanding

During Lessons:
Your role will include:

  • Interpreting spoken language into BSL
  • Supporting understanding of lesson content
  • Encouraging participation
  • Adapting communication where needed

You will remain engaged throughout and ensure the pupil is fully included.


Break & Lunch:
You will:

  • Support communication with peers
  • Encourage inclusion in social activities
  • Help build confidence

End of Day:
You will remain on site until 3:30pm–4:30pm, depending on:

  • Staff meetings
  • Planning sessions
  • Progress discussions

In-Class Expectations

  • Stay actively involved
  • Support literacy and comprehension
  • Encourage independence
  • Work collaboratively with teachers

Additional Responsibilities

  • Tracking pupil progress
  • Liaising with SENCO
  • Supporting classroom preparation

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
