Learning Support Assistants needed in a Special Needs school in a Local College in Uxbridge supporting students with Severe needs- day to day cover

We are working with well-established SEND College based in Uxbridge, who are seeking learning support assistants to work within their school on a flexible basis. They are seeking someone who has the passion and drive to work with Students with SEN needs. This school pride themselves on their sporting abilities, so they are seeking someone who is open to doing sports for part of the school day.
The school support student with life skills to help them prepare and grow their confidence for when they leave the college, This involves working with the students in class and outside in the local community. Having local knowledge in Uxbridge and its surrounding areas is an advantage, but not necessary.

The role:
• To cover sickness/course cover, term time only
• 8:30-4:30pm
• Based in the Borough of Hillingdon
• Working in the college and in the local community
• Flexible working patterns

You must have:
• A passion to work in a caring environment
• Positive attitude
• Some experience of working in a care environment, personal or professional
• Experience of working with PECs or Makaton is an advantage, but not necessary
• Team Teach trained or be willing to undertake the training which is provided by Protocol Education
