Job description
Protocol Education are currently looking for Specialist Teaching Assistants with a minimum of Level in BSL (British Sign Language) for long term work in a hearing impairment support units across Manchester.

We are looking for qualified and experienced Teaching Assistants. Not only must you hold a level 2 BSL qualification you also need to be comfortable assisting students with PMLD. This may include personal care needs.

These roles are from September on a long-term full time basis. Your role will involve working with students on a 1:1 basis within full classroom setting supporting their learning and wellbeing.

You will be expected to provide pupil feedback to other staff and outside agencies. You must follow school procedures at all times, including dress code and behaviour policies.

Pay rates for working in this school £55-£65 per day depending on qualifications and experience.

The Protocol Education Special Needs department is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We work alongside a variety of Special Educational Needs Schools and Pupil Referral Units. We provide day to day and long-term recruitment solutions for Teachers and Teaching Assistants.

We can offer our staff the opportunity to gain a further understanding of working in the SEND sector as we provide regular courses that prepare you for working with a variety of additional needs that will be certified upon completion
