Here at Protocol Education we are always doing our best to work towards the future. Currently, we are recruiting for long term candidates to start working in September 2020. We understand this is a time of uncertainty, however we are in consistent communication with our schools preparing for when they reopen.
Protocol are looking for learning support assistants/teaching assistants that have experience using British sign language (BSL).
Successful candidates will be required to support and help the development of hearing-impaired students across all ages, support academic studies, develop students social and communication skills in a classroom setting.
This is a full-time support position up until the end of the 2020/2021 academic school year, with a competitive salary.
Skills and qualifications required:
·Certified in British Sign language (BSL) level 2 or above
·Communicate with parents and carers
·Able to relay BSL from hearing impaired students to non-signing students or adults.
·Excellent strategic & communication skills, the ability to use initiative and that can work well under pressure.
·Positions are subject to an enhance disclosure barred service
