Job description
Protocol Education are currently working closely with a large SEND School in Leicester to provide them with a level 2 or above British Sign Language trained LSA to work closely with one student over a split timetable but also to be available to cover any sickness within the HI department.

The post is for an experienced Learning Support Assistant with BSL to work with one student that has recently transferred to the school but with the possibility of supporting across all ages and ranges of learning needs. It is to start immediately for 2 full days per week, with the option to provide additional support across the school on other days.

The School has Primary, Secondary and Post 16 departments and caters for the needs students between the ages of 4 - 19 with a wide range of educational difficulties from moderate to severe and complex needs. Some students have additional sensory, autistic or speech. language and communication needs.

The school need a consistent member of staff to work closely with these students, develop and nurture ongoing relationships with students and provide learning support as well as continued sensory support.

The school are ideally looking for candidates with experience in other special schools or with extensive experience with children or adults with learning disabilities.
