Protocol Education are currently recruiting candidates who are certified in British Sign Language to work in an outstanding special needs school in Wandsworth. This exciting opportunity will be starting in September 2020 where successful candidate will be working one to one with primary students with hearing impairments and other complex needs. As a teaching assistant you will be expected to encourage self confidence, differentiate the work to meet the students needs and create a fun & engaging learning environment for the students across all ages. In addition, you will gain additional training and guidance in maximising students development.

Skills and qualifications required:
  • Certified in British Sign language (BSL) level 2 or above
  • Able to relay BSL from hearing impaired students to non-signing students or adults.
  • Excellent strategic & communication skills, the ability to use initiative and that can work well under pressure.
  • Provide a positive and engaging environment
