Job description
I am working with a Primary School in High Wycombe who require a communicator qualified in British Sign Language to work with pupils aged between 4 and 11 years old. Working primarily in mainstream classrooms, the successful candidate will support one or two hearing impaired pupils and help them communicate more effectively with their class teacher and other hearing pupils.

You will be joining an enthusiastic and energetic team in the hearing-impaired department. CACDP BSL Level 2 preferred.

You will also be required to supervise and assist the children during the lunchtime period for 30 minutes.

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
