Job description
British Sign Language - Learning Support Assistant

You will be supporting students with hearing impairments in their academic, personal and social development within a mainstream setting. You'll be required to use a reflexive approach to learners, their learning and needs, and be able to work creatively and proactively. Ideally you will have experience working in a learning environment and will have BSL Level 2 or 3.

Job Specification
•Working in small class groups or with individual students.
•Adapting learning to increase interaction.
•Provide emotional support if required.
•Encourage social interactions.
•Maintain professional standards at all times.

Person Specification
•Experience working in a learning environment
•Resilience and patience, compassion and understanding.
•An ability to be proactive, creative and empathetic.
•To adhere to the school's policies and practices.
