Job description
Protocol Education are currently working closely with a school in Leicestershire that solely works with students that may present challenging behaviours and have a history of Social Emotional and Mental Health issues. They are looking for the right candidate for permanent employment.
Our client is looking to secure a new Learning Support Assistant/ Behaviour Mentor to work with small class sizes and small groups of students in both learning and vocational environments. Candidates must be dedicated to helping students overcome their barriers to learning, they must have a positive approach to supporting students and must be resilient.

Candidates must be comfortable supporting students that may have had a traumatic past, and providing not only academic support but also emotional support. As a member of their staff team you would be expected to take an active interest in all of the students and their progression throughout the school and their learning journeys.

Candidates must have experience working with children, however we have previously found that those with a background in sports coaching, alternative provisions, youth groups etc all can have a positive impact in these roles.

As part of safer recruitment, we would need to obtain two professional references and complete an up to date DBS check. For this role we are happy to accept candidates that have a current DBS on the update service.

This role is to start in January 2019 and to continue into the next academic year, if you are available to start before Christmas then they may allow for this. This role would become permanent for the right candidate.

To enquire about this role or to apply then please feel free to respond to this advert or alternatively call Jed Downing on 01162 162 122.
