Protocol is looking for SEN teaching assistants to work in local primary schools across the Barnet borough. You will help children with a wide range of Learning, Behavioural and Social and Emotional needs.

Individuals with a professional background in counselling, therapy and SEN support is desirable.

The right candidate will be:
-Supporting school work under the supervision of the teacher.
-Encouraging children's confidence, self- esteem and independence.
-Helping children understand instructions and engage with learning.
-Putting into practice individual education, social, behavioural and personal care programmes.
-Encouraging children to communicate with one another and with staff.
-Providing feedback and assistance to teachers.
-Supporting children in social activities and on outings.
- Assisting children during therapy sessions.
-Recognising signs of distress in children and offering reassurance.
-Completing records.
