Job description
SEMH Behaviour support worker

Have you had experience with challenging behaviours? Experience working with children with difficult backgrounds? Want to make a positive difference to child's wellbeing and development?

A "Good" SEMH school in the Orpington area are looking for behavioural support workers. The children they are looking to support are those with social, emotional and mental health issues (SEMH). A lot of these students have a challenging background and are in need of some significant support to help grow their self esteem and confidence.

The school prides itself on creating a nurturing and stimulating environment. They are looking for someone to be committed and enthusiastic in order to establish positive relationships with students and offer support to regulate their feelings. It is incredibly key to maintain high expectations of students to access their learning and ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard.

A good candidate will have strong behaviour management, humour and resilience. Experience of SEMH is desirable, however a candidate with the right attitude and desire to help improve these pupils school experience will be considered. The staff and school are very supportive and career progression is available for support staff looking to pursue a career in SEMH.
