Previous experience within an education environment is not necessary, however, we do specify that you are either a university graduate or you have experience working with any of the following:
• Sports coaching Drama/Theatre/Music workshops
• Support work within a supported living/residential environment
• Ex military
- Ex police
• Social Care
The person must be able to handle challenging behaviour in a calm and structured manner and embed a rigorous timetable to enlighten children's enjoyment in their education and progress their attainment in this vital learning period. The school will provide support and a detailed understanding of the children as well as appropriate resources to implement your plans to ensure learning is engaging and structured. You must have a patient and understanding demeanour and be resilient to challenging behaviour. Be a strong leader who can influence, in a positive way, and encourage the re-engagement of education.
A Behaviour Support worker/Specialist is an important, intervention role, implemented in alternative education providers. It has been designed to help students with behavioural issues overcome them and continue, in full time education, to achieve their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
