Job description
Due to an increase in demand for cover and an increase in numbers on roll, we have a vacancy for a staff member with strong experience within a Special Educational Needs setting to work on a short to long-term basis. Initially through Protocol Education with a view to go on long term or permanent.

At least 12 months experience in the community or within a Special Needs School setting is compulsory for this Special Needs Cover Supervisor role. You must have strong knowledge or a well known background around working with adults, young people or children with SEN.

The work will include working as a Teaching Assistant with students with a variety of barriers to learning, including behaviours that challenge or a diagnosis on the Autistic spectrum. This will be on a 1:1 basis, or taking charge of delivering small group nurture and some whole group cover. You will be required to work with a variety of different groups at various times and communicate well with a range of different staff members; both teachers and support assistants.

Access to a vehicle is preferable as this role does involve multi-site working.
