As a behaviour support assistant, your role will be to provide support and encouragement, with the vision to transform a young person's life for the better, through positive relationships and engaged learning, so that they may become happy and active citizens in their community.

The school is committed to creating an inclusive environment for their staff and pupils, treating everyone with dignity and respect where they anticipate and respond positively to different needs and circumstances so that everyone can achieve their potential. A vital part of your role will be to build upon the foundation of the school's curriculum providing high quality teaching and learning.

The curriculum is intended to ensure that staff are working to achieve the best possible results for all their students in their lives, especially around long-term outcomes such as employment, living as independently as possible with the greatest degree of self-sufficiency, enjoying good health and wellbeing.

The Role:
• Start Date, May 2020.
• Full time, Monday - Friday.
• Sutton.

Requirements:
• Relevant experience working in schools.
• Previous experience working with SEN children, and passionate about the learning and development of SEND pupils.
• Capable of dealing with challenging behaviour, promoting focus within a classroom environment and giving on-going 1:1 support.
• Able to provide 2 relevant references.
