Job description
Protocol Education are looking for an inspirational support assistant to work with students who experience behavioural, emotional and social difficulties. The school is a large alternative provision in the Teesside area for 4-16 year olds.

• All of the students on roll have a statement of special educational needs or an education, health and care plan.
• The successful candidate will be required to attend off-site locations regularly.
• The successful candidate will be required to take on some teaching with students on a 1:1 or small group basis.

Experience, Training and Qualifications required for the SEMH Support position:
• Previous experience working with students with SEMH is preferred. However, this in not essential providing you have the right attitude and desire.
• Previous experience working with SEMH would be advantageous
• You should have lots of energy and enthusiasm with a positive attitude towards working with SEN students.
• You should be proactive and innovative with the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
