Behaviour Support Worker – Primary School (1:1 SEN Support)

Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire

Position: Behaviour Support Worker

Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only

A Bradford primary school is looking to appoint a compassionate and proactive Behaviour Support Worker to provide one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviour.

The successful applicant will work closely with teaching staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, supporting pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support.

Duties include:

  • Delivering personalised 1:1 support to pupils with SEN and behavioural needs.
  • Assisting pupils in managing emotions and developing social skills.
  • Supporting classroom learning and engagement.
  • Implementing individual behaviour plans and interventions.
  • Recording progress and reporting concerns to the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Promoting a safe, positive and nurturing environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN, SEMH, autism or behavioural challenges.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • A caring, patient and adaptable approach.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience in education, youth work, care or support services is desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
