Behaviour Support Assistant

Protocol Education is looking to appoint a proactive Behaviour Support Assistant to work within a specialist provision supporting pupils aged 7–16 with SEMH needs, Autism, ADHD, and additional learning barriers.

This role would suit candidates looking to develop a long-term career within SEND education.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom
• Delivering behaviour and emotional regulation interventions
• Supporting pupils during transition periods
• Promoting positive social interactions
• Assisting with de-escalation strategies when required
• Supporting the wider school behaviour policy

Working Hours:

• Monday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
• Tuesday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
• Wednesday: 8:30am – 3:45pm
• Thursday: 8:30am – 4:15pm
• Friday: 8:30am – 3:15pm

Essential Requirements:

• A passion for supporting children and young people
• Previous experience in education, youth work, care, coaching, mentoring, or similar settings
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply and pay for one
• Two recent professional references
• Full-time applicants only

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
