Protocol Education is currently looking for a Behaviour specialist to work at one of our client schools based in the London Borough of Brent.
We are one of the leading education recruitment agencies in London and we work with number of schools where behaviour in the classroom may be challenging. The role in question is full-time (term time only). You will be dealing with a troubled and often aggressive student in Year 4 and provide them (and the class teacher) with necessary support in their every day activities and social interactions with other students, helping them improve their skills and achieve their educational targets. This would often require de-escalating children in crisis.
You don't necessarily have to have previous experience working in a school setting. What we are looking for is an individual with a degree in an applicable field such as Psychology, Special Education, Social work, or Behavioural Learning Education. You will have a patient and calm personality but will be able to be firm when necessary. You will build strong rapport with those you're working with and encourage them to explain why they're angry or upset. The school would like the child to thrive in the classroom as well as in their community, therefore you have to be able to motivate and encourage the child to get involved in school opportunities, pursuing its interests and developing their skills.
In return we offer you:
• Competitive rates of (weekly) pay
• Professional support from our team of experienced consultants
• Social nights out with the rest of Protocol staff
• A wide variety of positions, both day to day and long-term
• £250 Referral Bonus for each teacher you refer to us.*
*they must work for at least 20 days for Protocol in order to claim the Bonus.
If you feel this description matches your personality, please contact Kate on 02083717915 or apply online.
Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
