Behaviour Support Specialist – SEMH School | Telford

Ready to bring calm, care, and consistency to students who need it most?

A vibrant SEMH school in the heart of Telford is looking for a Behaviour Support Specialist to join their team from September. The school recently earned a ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted and is known for its warm, values-led approach—built on honesty, respect, and trust.

You’ll be working with students who’ve often had a rougher ride through education. Your role? Helping them feel safe, supported, and seen—so they can get back to learning and growing.

What you need to know:

  • Location: Telford (commutable from Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Bridgnorth)

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm

  • Start date: Tuesday 3rd September 2024

  • Bonus points for: Team Teach, de-escalation training or SEND qualifications

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has hands-on experience with SEMH or behaviour support

  • Can stay cool in a crisis and firm with compassion

  • Understands the impact of trauma and how to respond effectively

  • Wants to be part of a team that makes a difference—every single day

What’s in it for you:

  • Birthday off, because you deserve it

  • On-site parking

  • Nationally recognised CPD and in-house training to build your skills

  • A chance to work in a setting where relationships matter and your work has real impact
