Protocol Education are looking to recruit a part time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with experience of working with pupils with challenging behaviour to work with a child in Year 3 and 4. The role is to start as soon as possible and if successful, the role will continue from September 2021. To start with, your role to start with will be moving between the two classes to enable the current children with EHCPs to be supported by the existing staff members and allowing you to form a bond with the child who needs the additional support.

Previous experience working with children is essential. Must be energetic, enthusiastic and be able to work using your own initiative. Team Teach training is desirable but not essential. The role will be eventually working with a child on a 1:1 basis but some group learning may also be required.

Within this role, you will be expected to work alongside key school staff and existing behaviour plans to improve levels of pupil behaviour exhibited in class. Over time, you will build up a supportive working relationship with pupils so that you can act as a mentor and role model, ultimately improving overall attainment.


In order to apply for this role you must have the following:

• Reference information for the last five years
• UK eligibility to work, an enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to have one undertaken at the cost of £40
• The ability to be flexible and adaptable on a daily basis
