A SEN primary school which is located in the borough of Southwark are currently looking for experienced Teaching Assistants who have supervised and supported children who have behavioural difficulties.

In this role you will be providing support to the class teacher during lessons to manage the behaviour of students this means you will be working on a 1:1 basis with key pupils as a general Teaching Assistant.

This school caters for primary aged students who have Autism and Social Emotional Behaviour difficulties.

You don't need any relevant qualifications for this role but experience as a teaching assistant is essential for those who apply.

Requirements of this role:

• To be the secure person for a designated group of small students and providing support, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.

• Develop a holistic approach to meeting Social, Emotional and Behavioural needs, enabling learners to make good progress by working with teachers, other support staff, families and external agencies.

• Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour
• Plans, Risk Assessments, Personal Care and Therapy Care programmes for students

• Establish therapeutic relationships with students and interact with them according to individual needs.
