Protocol Education are looking for SEN LSA's who would work effectively in challenging classrooms with pupils who need 1:1 support. The role would be full time working 08:30 - 15:30 and supporting teachers in classrooms. The classes are no bigger than 8 people per classroom.

The role will involve challenges such as having to restrain pupils and be prepared to use de-escalation to talk to pupils who are displaying disruptive behaviour.

You will be supported by a great team of people who will be there to assist in any questions you have, they also come with a lot of their own experience working in SEN settings and will be able to help you settle in.

The role:
• Work with students on a 1:1 basis and within a class
• Assisting with lunchtimes
Supporting the teachers with the execution of their lessons
• Support the learners in class on a one to one basis with numeracy and literacy
• Working within a supportive team

You'll be successful if you have:

• A Child workforce DBS, on the update service - we can support you through the process of applying for one if you do not already have one.
• Confidence in working with challenging behaviour
• Enthusiasm and confidence to work in this environment.

We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £40.00
