Behaviour and Learning Mentors

I am working closely with schools around the Wetherby and Tadcaster area between North Leeds and York. My schools are in need of behaviour mentors to work with students in a class-based position but also potentially with small intervention groups and with 1:1 children.

Have you recently graduated from university and aspire to work with students who must overcome their barriers to learning? Would you find helping them overcome these barriers rewarding? If you enjoy working with challenging students and can hold your own, then this may be the role for you. You will be working within a class and may also be asked to cover the class from time to time. You will work with children with behavioural needs and you will thrive from helping them progress with their learning and social skills.

You will ideally have:
•Relevant qualification/experience in education
•Degree Level qualification
•Previous experience working with students
•Previous experience working with SEN children
•The ability to adapt quickly in difficult situations and be resilient
•A confident demeanour
•A DBS check or be willing to apply for one

About the Role:
•£300 - £325 Per week, term time only
•Support the class and often may be asked to cover the class
•Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils - offering interventions
•Previous experience working with children ideal
•A very rewarding role ideal if you wish to get into education
•To start on a temporary basis with the potential to become more permanent
•Part time and Full time possibilities

This role would be ideal for an SEN TA looking to expand their experience, an aspiring teacher looking to gain that insight into the classroom or an individual who has decided now is the time to make that change and really make a difference to young people's lives. Relevant graduates welcome to apply.
