Job description
Behaviour Classroom Support Assistant - Barnsley

I am working with Pupil Referral Units which work with Primary and Secondary, supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties.

We are looking to appoint a Support Worker/teaching assistant to help raise standards of achievement for our pupils. The successful candidate must have experience of working with challenging pupils with behavioural/or social and emotional difficulties in a school setting, lots of enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, good literacy/numeracy skills and the ability to build supportive relationships with pupils, staff, parents/carers and other agencies.

Team Teach would be advantageous but not essential.

You will need to have a DBS on the online update service or willing to apply for a new one and be able to supply reference to cover the past 3 years including your most recent employer and an education based reference.
