Job description
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Special Needs Support Workers /SEN carers to join a dedicated and friendly team on a permanent contract following a probationary period.

The successful candidate will be supporting a variety of students on a 1-1 basis. You will be responsible for ensuring that the child in your care is receiving a high quality of life, by supporting them to complete everyday activities. You must be open to supporting students with personal care needs.

Salary: £8 per hour during 14 week probationary period, increasing to £8.34 once this is completed.

Hours: 7am - 2pm, and 1pm - 9pm. Other shifts are available both full and part time.

Location: Due to the rural location of the residential provision, it is a requirement that you have your own transport.

The successful candidate:
• You will be supporting residents with a range of mild to severe learning disabilities
• Maximizing independence
• Engaging with residents on a social and caring level
• Supporting them with house hold tasks and basic cooking
• Engaging in social activities and group activities
• Visiting the community to amenities and leisure centres/attractions
• Providing personal care and general living support.
• Will hold a Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or be working towards this.
• Will be happy to support in an educational setting
• Will have a DBS clear of any cautions, convictions, reprimands or warnings.
