A school in Downham who caters to the needs of pupils who have autism are looking for confident support assistants to join their busy team. This school is state of the art with excellent facilities, has lovely staff members and lots of good opportunities to learn new skills within a specialist setting.

This is a September start, term time only 08.30 16.00.

As a specialist support assistant, you will be:
-Working within a class to support or as a 1:1 support for a specific child.
-Confident working with children with autism and understand their needs.
-Able to anticipate warning signs and de-escalate challenging situations.
-Passionate about working with children with special needs.

This school requires people on a day to day basis as well as long term so if you are looking for a flexible position at least 3 days a week, you are eligible to apply!
