Protocol Education are looking for an experienced Behavioural Support Mentor to work in an amazing school, developing both academic studies and life skills and communication. As part of the role you will be working with one student or supporting a teacher, based with in a small group of learners with special needs such as autism, behaviour and physical disabilities.

As a specialist establishment, the school require someone who is open and flexible about working in special needs and is keen to advance their skills. As part of the role, we offer accredited CPD that include learning strategies, behaviour techniques and medical procedures.

This is a full-time support position up until the end of the 2021 academic school year, with a competitive salary.

Main Duties:

·Supporting students 1:1 with numeracy, literacy & sensory integration
·Encouraging social skills and independent living through community work i.e. shopping, visiting the local farm & cooking
·Assessing pupils' levels and ability
·Behaviour management
·Comfortable or open to supporting learners with personal care
