We're working with specialist schools across Gateshead looking for Autism Support Assistants to join their teams this September. These schools provide supportive, structured environments where pupils are encouraged to learn, grow and develop at their own pace.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Delivering tailored support both in and outside the classroom
• Promoting communication, independence and confidence
• Working collaboratively with teachers and therapists
• Creating calm, engaging learning experiences

We'd love to hear from you if you:

• Have experience supporting children or adults with additional needs
• Are patient, compassionate and adaptable
• Enjoy building positive relationships
• Have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or are willing to apply for one
• Are available to start in September

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
