You know those small moments, a breakthrough, a smile, a calm transition, they matter. This role is full of them.

We’re looking for a patient and understanding Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism in a specialist setting. You’ll play a key part in creating a structured, predictable environment where pupils feel safe, supported, and able to engage in their learning.

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
  • Helping with routines, transitions, and sensory needs
  • Using clear communication and visual strategies
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists

What we’re looking for

  • Experience with autism or SEND, or a real passion to build it
  • A calm, consistent approach, even on the trickier days
  • Someone who notices the small wins and celebrates them
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

What you’ll get

  • Free autism and SEND training, including CPD opportunities
  • Ongoing support from a consultant who understands SEN
  • Access to a range of specialist settings

If you’re someone who brings patience, empathy, and a steady presence, this is where you’ll make a real impact.
