Job description
Protocol Education are working with a primary school based in the London Borough of Hackney who are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their team. The role is to support a reception who has Autism. The successful candidate is someone who can be given learning objectives and take initiative and plan activities with guidance to best meet the child's needs; be calm and patient, never showing frustration towards the student.

Ideally you will:

- Have previous experience of working in a School Nursery or School Classroom setting.
- Preferably has experience of working with children who have additional needs, both physical and behavioural.
- Have good communication skills with staff, children and parents.
- Be able to work as part of a team, but also use initiative and self- direction when needed
