A special needs school in Plumstead is looking for enthusiastic support workers to work with pupils who have a range of complex needs including autism. This school has two sites and caters for children form the age of 2 - 18. This is a FULL TIME term time only role working from 08.30 - 16.30 and your main responsibility will be supporting pupils throughout their school day. Due to the needs of the pupils you need to be open to helping with personal care and be very proactive.
The school are looking for people immediately so candidates with a clear and current DBS on the update service will be prioritized.
For this role, you will have:
Experience with special needs including autism.
Previous support work within a school or other child related experience
Strong behavior management and confident with challenging behavior
Happy to work one to one and small group work
