Protocol Education are currently recruiting on behalf a partner school for an exclusive Assistant Headship role.

As part of the growth of our school, we are looking to recruit a passionate and enthusiastic Assistant Head to join our team. As a specialist school for pupils experiencing social, emotional and mental health difficulties between the ages of 7 and 16, the ideal candidate will have experience of working with pupils with additional needs or aspire to progress in this area.

You will be required to work with leadership and class leads and be responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of curriculum and the assessment framework, as well as monitoring impact.

Responsibilities to include but are not limited to:
• Have recent experience of working with pupils with behavioural needs/SEMH or aspire to do so.
• To lead curriculum across all phases.
• To lead moderation across all phases.
• To monitor the effectiveness of teaching and learning.
• To mentor staff in developing their practice.
• Have excellent communication skills and be able work collaboratively.
• Flexible in your approach.
• Committed to the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
