Job description
I am working with a primary school based in St. Albans who are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and committed ASD Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant to join them after the October half term.

You will be working 1:1 with a child who has Autism in Reception (KS1) as well as supporting the class teacher. To be successful you will need to have an understanding of the complexities of ASD and be able to keep calm and patient. This is a part time position and the hours will be 8:30am - 1pm Monday to Friday. This position will be ongoing, and ideally you will be able to carry on until at least the Christmas holidays if required.

Ideally you will:

• Have previous experience of working in a School Nursery or School Classroom setting.
• Preferably have experience of working with children who have Autism or other types of SEN.
• Have good communication skills with staff, children and parents
• Be able to work as part of a team, but also use initiative and self- direction when needed
